We offer an extensive selection of programs to members of the greater Ann Arbor community age 18-65.  Students of all experience levels are welcome, as our instruction seeks to nurture and inspire the musician in everyone.   Our professional and experienced faculty provides individualized, high-quality education, empowering students to perform to their fullest potential.

Private Instruction:

Our skilled faculty provides personalized instruction to musicians of all ages and experience levels.  Whether you are new to an instrument, or looking to strengthen your current abilities, our one-on-one instruction will empower you to perform at your very best.

 

Jazz Studies:

The Jazz Studies Program is designed for instrumentalists and vocalists looking for small or large ensemble experience with jazz. To schedule an audition time for placement, please call the office at (734) 213-2000.

 

Chamber Music:

The Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts offers a Chamber Music Program for students of all ages and all instruments, developing the students’ musicianship and ensemble-performing technique by exploring a variety of composers and musical genres.

 

Alternative Jazz Ensemble:

This class is for guitarists, bassists and drummers of all ages and experiences who are interested in exploring improvisation, arrangement, and diverse styles of music.

 

New Horizons Senior String Orchestra:

This orchestra is designed for mature learners who have never played violin, viola, cello, or bass as well as former players seeking to revive and further their skills. All adults and seniors are welcome, even beginners.
