We at CMSa2 believe that music education enriches the quality of life of all students, regardless of age or musical background. Our programs for Seniors, age 65+, seek to inspire senior members of the greater Ann Arbor community to explore their creative potential to its fullest. If you have always wanted to learn to play the piano, or the double bass—or if you wish to revitalize your creative life by joining one of our many musical ensembles—there is no better time than today.

The Jazz Studies Program is designed for instrumentalists and vocalists looking for small or large ensemble experience with jazz styles. To schedule an audition time for placement, please call the office at (734) 213-2000.
Community Music School of Ann Arbor offers a Chamber Music Program for students of all ages and all instruments, developing the students’ musicianship and ensemble-performing technique by exploring a variety of composers and musical genres.
This orchestra is designed for mature learners who have never played violin, viola, cello, or bass as well as former players seeking to revive and develop their skills. All seniors are welcome, even beginners.
