The Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts is comprised of highly qualified instructors, specializing many fields of musical study. We offer a manifold of programs spanning from private instruction to jazz studies, from orchestra to vocal performance.

In these classes, students work one on one with our exceptional faculty members, developing their skill, discipline, and imagination. Private instruction is available to all ages (age 5 and up) and experience levels.
Both Jazz Combos and Jazz Big Bands focus on music theory, improvisation, and cohesion as a musical group. Jazz Studies programs are available to 7th through 12th graders, as well as to adults and seniors.
This approach to musical education focuses on developing a musical affinity in young children, nurturing cognitive skills and creativity that will aid them throughout their lives.
The Orchestra program is a highlight within the AASPA, and several different groups are available to students depending on age and level of skill. Our Youth Symphony has preformed across the country as well as travelling abroad.
Available to students of all ages, this program develops musicianship and offers intermediate to advanced level musicians the opportunity to develop their craft with the help of their peers and our experienced staff. We also offer an Alternative Jazz Ensemble in this category.
The AASPA offers private vocal instruction for all ages, and several different choral performance groups for children and youth.
